Discovery & Design

Define the Right Solution Before You Invest in Building It

More Than a Technical Scope.

Whether you're replacing an existing system, automating a manual process, integrating multiple platforms, or building a completely new application, we work with your team to define exactly what should be built, how it should function, and the most effective way to bring it to life. Discovery & Design gives you everything needed to confidently invest in your project — solution design, implementation planning, estimated costs, delivery timelines, validation pathways, and an assessment of how AI-assisted development could accelerate delivery.

Why Discovery & Design MattersThe Success of Any Technology Project Is Determined Long Before Development Begins.

Many projects exceed budgets, miss deadlines, or fail to meet business expectations because the solution wasn’t properly defined before development commenced. Discovery & Design removes this uncertainty.

Working closely with your stakeholders, we develop a comprehensive understanding of your business objectives, operational requirements, users, and technical environment — then translate these into a structured, build-ready solution.

The outcome is a clearly defined implementation blueprint that significantly reduces project risk — and gives you confidence in the investment ahead.

The EngagementWhat We Help You Define

Every Discovery & Design engagement is tailored to your organisation, but typically includes defining:

The CROFTI Difference

AI Delivery Assessment

One of the unique outcomes of Discovery & Design is understanding how AI-assisted development could influence your project.

Rather than simply identifying AI opportunities, we break the proposed solution into logical delivery tasks and assess each task against current AI development capabilities.

The result is a realistic understanding of how AI can accelerate delivery — while maintaining quality, security, and long-term maintainability.

Your Assessment Shows

Where AI Accelerates Delivery — and Where Traditional Engineering Remains Essential.

Which components are well suited to AI-assisted development
Which components require traditional software engineering
The estimated percentage of AI-assisted delivery across the project
Potential reductions in development time
Potential reductions in implementation cost
The most effective delivery approach for the solution

THE PROCESSHow It Works

A structured engagement that takes you from requirements to a complete implementation blueprint.

Step 1Discover

We work with your stakeholders to understand the business problem, review current processes, identify constraints, and define the desired outcomes.

Step 2Solution Design

Working collaboratively with your team, we design the future-state solution — workflows, user experience, integrations, automation opportunities, and technical architecture.

Step 3Planning

We prepare the detailed functional and technical scope alongside implementation recommendations, estimated costs, timelines, and delivery sequencing.

Why CROFTI

Most Discovery Engagements Finish When the Documentation Is Complete.

Ours Finishes When You’re Ready to Make an Informed Investment Decision.

Discovery & Design isn’t simply about documenting requirements — it’s about providing the clarity needed to confidently move into implementation. Our AI-first approach enables us to assess how modern development methods can influence your project, giving you realistic insight into where AI can accelerate delivery and where traditional engineering remains essential.

The result is a solution that is commercially viable, technically sound, and ready to build.

Progress you can measure.

CROFTI thoroughly understood our business, delivered quality insights, and kept us informed, making us feel confident and in good hands.
